Last week produced my fourth straight winning (5-2) week in the NFL bringing my season total to 19-9 (67.9%). Still puttering around in the NCAA hitting 52.3% on the year. Overall winning percentage of 58.3% for combined NFL and NCAA picks.

Week 6

NCAA

1.) Arizona St. (-9) at Washington St.

The Sun Devils are unbeaten and flying high at the moment while Washington St. is coming off an enbarrising loss at Arizona last week. Arizona St. will not falter in this matchup especially with SC, Cal, and Oregon looming in the upcoming weeks. Martin Stadium used to be one of the places for an opponent to enter a win, but not with this Cougar team.

Pick: Arizona St. by 22

Result: Arizona St. 23, Washington St. 20 (Loss)

2.) Cincinnati (+3.5) at Rutgers

Cincinnati is becoming this years BYU. Beware of the Bearcats, Rutgers looked like a very average team last week losing at home to Maryland. Cincinnati has an excellent run defense and should keep Rice in check. Rutgers will be fired up at night coming off a loss and looking to avenge last years loss at Cincinnati. The Bearcats are simply a better team and create matchup problems for the Scarlet Knights.

Pick: Cincinnati by 6

Result: Cincinnati 28, Rutgers 23 (Win)

3.) Georgia (+1) at Tennessee

The Bulldogs will be looking to avenge last seasons humilating loss between the hedges to the Vols. Tennessee has not impressed me this season and the Bulldogs only blemish was against an underrated South Caolina team.

Pick: Georgia by 7

Result: Tennessee 35, Georgia 14 (Loss)

4.) Oklahoma (-11) v. Texas

The Sooners shocked the world by losing to Colorado last week while the Longhorns got thumped at home versus Kansas St.  The Sooners are the real deal and let one slip away last week, but Texas was exposed as a fraud. The Sooners will not hesitate to run the score up against their hated rivals. Sooners get back on track and dominate the Longhorns.

Pick: Oklahoma by 20

Result: Oklahoma 28, Texas 21 (Loss)

5.) Auburn (-7.5) v. Vanderbilt

The Tigers are coming off a huge upset versus Florida last week and appear to be back on track after some early struggles this season. Heading back home to Jordan-Hare Stadium and with new found confidence the Tigers will handle the improving Vanderbilt squad. The tiger defense will control the game while the crowd will effect the young Commodore offense.

Pick: Auburn by 15

Result: Auburn 35, Vanderbilt 7 (Win)

6.) TCU (+3) at Wyoming

TCU has fallen off the map but they are still alive in the MWC. This is a huge conference game for both teams and the winner will have a real shot at the conference title. Wyoming is a difficult place to play but the TCU squad is familar with the Cowboys and are no stranger to bick games. TCU wins a tight one on the road.

Pick: TCU by 3

Result: Wyoming 24, TCU 21 (Push)

7.) Army (-6.5) v. Tulane

These two former Conference USA rivals will battle at West Point on Saturday. This line is reflection on Tulane sticking around with a strong LSU team last week in an emotion filled game. Army has been improving and will be charged up for homecoming. The Black Knights will not dissapoint the home crowd.

Pick: Army by 12

Result: Army 20, Tulane 17 (Loss)

(Blowout of the Week) Troy (-18) at Florida International

Troy is the class of the Sun Belt while FIU is in the cellar. Troy will score in bunches in this one and Florida International will not be able to handle their potent offense. This one will get ugly as the Trojans roll.

Pick: Troy by 33

Result: Troy 34, Florida International 18 (Push)

(Underdog Play of the Week) Arizona (+4) at Oregon St.

Arizona is a streaky team and is coming off a blowout win versus Washington St. last week. Oregon St. has struggled all season and will drop second consecutive home game. Corvallis used to be a graveyard for opposing teams but this Beaver team just can't get it together. The Wildcats put together a winning streak and try to save Mike Stoops job.

Pick: Arizona by 2

Result: Oregon St. 31, Arizona 16 (Loss)

 NFL:

1.) Kansas City (+2) v. Jacksonville

The Jags dominated Denver two weeks ago in Denver, so there back right? Not this roller coaster team. This exactly the type of game the Jaguars will blow. The Chiefs are improving and are very difficult to beat at Arrowhead. Their young defense will give the questiobale jags offense trouble all game.

Pick: Chiefs by 10

Result: Jacksonville 17, Chiefs 7 (Loss)

2.) Miami (+5) at Houston

The Dolphins are a terrible team and can't seem to stop anyone. Houston is banged up and may have overachieved during the first two weeks. Miami has to win sometime and I expect the Dolphins to play their best game of the season. The Houston defense will get a large dose of Ronnie Brown and the Dolphin defense will improve.

Pick: Dolphins by 7

Result: Texans 22, Dolphins 19 (Win)

3.) Seattle (+6) at Pittsburgh

The Seahawks are playing solid ball and are one blown play from being undefeated. The Seahawks will keep this one close. The Steelers are overrated at this point and were brought back down to Earth last week versus Arizona. This should be a tight one throughout.

Pick: Steelers by 3

Result: Steelers 21, Seahawks 0 (Loss)

(Blowout of the Week) Indianapolis (-10) v. Tampa Bay

The Colts might be without Addai and Harrison in this one, but no worries. The Bucs are playing well but will be outclassed this one. Manning and company will role even with a depleted squad.

Pick: Colts by 22

Result: Colts 33, Bucs 14 (Win)

(Upset Special) St. Louis (+4) v. Arizona

The Rams will be without Bulger and Jackson in this one. Frerotte is a capable backup and the Cardinals are a horrid road team. Arizona has been using a dual QB tandem which will eventually blow up in their face. The Cardinals lose this one more than the Rams win it.

Pick: Rams by 4

Result: Cardinals 34, Rams 31 (Win)

(Under 43.5) Miami at Houston

The banged up Texans will run into an inspired Dophins defense this week. This one turn into a defensive low scoring affair.

Result: 41 points -- Texans 22, Dolphins 19 (Win)

(Over 39) Seattle at Pittsburgh

This might be the game of the week and I expect the offenses to shine in this one. Back and forth competitve ball between two solid team should result in an Over.

Result: 21 points -- Steelers 21, Seahawks 0 (Loss)
