Another big week for ERock going 10-4 overall. Hopefully the tweaks to my NCAA system resulted in my 6-1 week and it wasn't just a fluke. My NCAA record is up to 54-48-5 (52.9%). The NFL keeps rolling with yet another winning week at 4-3 bringing my season total to an impressive 48-28-1 (63.2%). Let's keep it rolling into Thanksgiving weekend.
NCAA:
(1.) Boise St. (+4.5) at Hawaii
It's tough to pick against Hawaii at home, but Boise is clearly the better team. Hawaii has struggled through a weak schedule while Boise has smashed the majority of the WAC conference. Hawaii can't get a BCS berth based on their schedule and Boise will make sure of that.
Pick: Boise St. by 10
Result: Hawaii 39, Boise St. 27 (Loss)
(2.) Kansas (-2) v. Missouri
I love this Missouri team, but they are going down this week. The Jayhawks are for real and probably second guessing why they agreed to move this home game to a neutral site (Arrowhead). Missouri has no defense while the Jayhawks have been playing excellent on the defensive side of the ball. I'll take a great defense over a great offense any day of the week.
Pick: Kansas by 8
Result: Missouri 36, Kansas 28 (Loss)
(3.) Colorado St. (-3) v. Wyoming
Wyoming has fallen apart and appears to just be going through the motions. The Rams have had a tough season and will look to close things out on a high note and win one for Coach Lubick. Colorado St. has owned Wyoming of late, especially at Fort Collins.
Pick: Colorado St. by 11
Result: Colorado St. 36, Wyoming 28 (Win)
(4.) UCF (-18.5) v. UTEP
UCF is rolling again and has been destoying USA opponents. UTEP has fallen off and has been terrible all season on the road. UCF will be playing for a trip to conference title game and won't let that slip through their fingers. This one will be over ealry.
Pick: UCF by 29
Result: UCF 36, UTEP 20 (Loss)
(5.) Georgia (-3.5) at Georgia Tech
Does GT ever beat Georgia? I expect the Bulldogs to roll through the Yellow Jackets as usual. Georgia is playing for a shot at a BCS game and still has a reasonable shot at the SEC title game. The ACC is weak this year and GT hasn't impressed me lately. Georgia is hot right now and should cruise in this one.
Pick: Georgia by 13
Result: Georgia 31, GT 17 (Win)
(Blowout of the Week) UNC (-14) v. Duke
The Tar Heels has shown steady improvement under Coach Davis and will be amped to get a win a destroy rival Duke. These teams usually play tight games, but not this year. The Tar Heels have some atheletes on this team and will take out their frustrating season on Duke.
Pick: UNC by 23
Result: UNC 20, Duke 14 (Loss)
(Underdog Play of the Week) Utah (+4.5) at BYU
BYU was my squad last year but I like the way this Utah team has responded to their devasting injuries early in the season. This is as heated a rivalry as their is in all of College ball. This one will be back and forth and should be tight throughout. I'll take Utah in the upset.
Pick: Utah by 1
Result: BYU 17, Utah 10 (Loss)

NFL:
(1.) Tampa Bay (-3) v. Washington
These teams are very similar in my opinion, strong running games, solid defense, and are well coached. However, the Skins have faded on defense and have been hit with some big injuries. Tampa plays very well at home and can take control of NFC South with a win. Take Gruden and the Bucs at home.
Pick: Bucs by 7
Result: Bucs 19, Redskins 13 (Win)
(2.) Green Bay (-3.5) at Detroit
The Packers are rolling and won't be stopped in Detroit this Thursday. The Lions used to be a solid play on Thanksgiving regardless of their record, but they have struggled of late. I'm not overly impressed with the Lions and expect the talented Packers to win this huge NFC North showdown. The Packers can't afford a slip up in their battle with Dallas for home field in the NFC.
Pick: Packers by 6
Result: Packers 37, Lions 26 (Win)
(3.) Miami (+15) at Pittsburgh
The Steelers are hurting and are slightly overrated in my opinion. Miami is a terrible team, but they are long overdue for a solid performance. Monday night in front of the nation might be the time to do it. Big Ben can easily lose a game at any time as he still makes a lot of mistakes when the Steelers struggle to run the ball. Parker has looked sluggish lately, Holmes and Polumala are out. Call me crazy, but I think the Dolphins not only cover, but win outrright. Take the poins, but this may be an opportunity to throw a little slice on the moneyline.
Pick: Dolphins by 3
Result: Steelers 3, Dolphins 0 (Win)
(Blowout of the Week) Kansas City (-4.5) v. Oakland
The Chiefs are on a losing streak but they are still alive in the AFC West. The Chiefs have been hanging around with teams lately and usually play very well against the Raiders, especially at Arrowhead. The Chiefs will be fired up after the unfortunate retirement of Holmes. The defense will shut the poor Oakland offense down and Chiefs will slowly pull away in this one.
Pick: Chiefs by 22
Result: Raiders 20, Chiefs 17 (Loss)
(Upset Special) Carolina (+3) v. New Orleans
The Panthers always seem to win they aren't supposed to and lose when their expected win. Fox is prone to come out and pound the ball after dropping a couple games. I'm not sure the Saints can stop it. Carolina will pressure the QB and the Saints offensive line has struggled mightily this season. I'll take the Panthers in an upset.
Pick: Panthers by 9
Result: Saints 31, Panthers 6 (Loss)
(Under 51.5) Houston at Cleveland
I'm aware Cleveland has gone over in just about every game this season and the Texans aren't much of a defensive powerhouse. Throw it out the window, I'm expecting Cleveland to play more of a ball control game playing as a rare favorite. In the public eye, Cleveland has been a dog in most games whether Vegas says or not. Not in this one. Look for a big game out of Lewis and the Browns defense.
Result: 44 points -- Browns 27, Texans 17 (Win)
(Over 38) San Francisco at Arizona
Remeber Week 1, this was supposed to be the shootout on Monday Night? I took the Under for a winner. Now, everyone is expecting a low scoring game, especially with the putird Niners offense. Let's flip it, this one will be a shootout. The Niners actually show and score some points while the Cardinals will have no problem putting points on the board.
Result: 68 points -- Niners 37, Cardinals 17 (Win)
Other Games:
- Cleveland over Houston by 4...are the Browns really going to make the playoffs?
- St. Louis over Seattle by 4....the Rams stay hot and beat rival Seattle
- NY Giants over Minnesota by 10...the Giants might be the most overrated team in the League, but get another win versus a weak opponent
- Jacksonville over Buffalo by 10...call me crazy but I'm leaning Jags to win the bowl at the moment
- Arizona over San Francisco by 10...shootout in the desert
- Tennessee over Cincinnati by 4...the Titans need this one bad
- San Diego over Baltimore by 12...the Ravens are really bad at the moment
- Dallas over NY Jets by 6...the Jets will play inspired for the remainder of the season
- Chicago over Denver by 6...the Bears are at home and Denver usually struggles on the road
- Indianapolis over Atlanta by 7...the Colts are banged up
- New England over Philadelphia by 17...keep running up the scores and someone will take Brady or Moss out, guaranteed
